What should I do in the event of data loss?

Have you lost important data? Don't panic! Don't attempt to restore it yourself using untried methods. Even one unsuccessful data recovery attempt can reduce the chances of recover

In the event of data loss, the top priority is to preserve the data storage device in the state it was in immediately after the error, and to select a professional data recovery service. KÜRT’s data recovery technology can be used to restore data in the case of virtually all hardware and software malfunctions.

Standard data recovery service

Send us your damaged data storage device or deliver it personally to our customer service centre as soon as possible. We will give you a price quote within 25 minutes of receiving the storage device.
The data recovery work begins as soon as you confirm the order, and takes 3-6 days, depending on the severity of the problem.
This means that (in the event of a successful operation) you can begin using your data again in as short a time as possible. This service is only available during business hours.

In addition to our standard data recovery service, we offer a variety of special options depending on the type of storage device and the urgency of the case. For more details of these, please follow the link below:

Technological considerations – important information

There are several ways to go about having your data storage device diagnosed. When choosing between them, it is very important to bear the following in mind:

  • Whether or not (and to what extent) further data loss could occur in the course of the diagnostic examination depends on the method used.
  • There are simple (and cheap) methods, which carry a high risk that the diagnostic examination itself will lead to further data loss.
  • The technology used by KÜRT in the course of performing the service that we offer to you rules out the possibility of any more data being lost during the diagnostic examination. How?

The hard drives are examined in a cleanroom (dust-free) laboratory environment that complies with the relevant internationally recognised standards. This is where we disassemble the data storage device, and before starting the motor that spins the disks inside it we first make sure that there is no danger of further damage to the data storage surfaces. After doing this we read the most important information from the disks using our own equipment, and compile the results of the diagnosis for you based on the data thus obtained.

To protect your valuable data and KÜRT's reputation for reliability and safety, we only perform diagnostic examinations using the technology briefly outlined above.

When examining magnetic tape we use technology that differs from the above, but which also guarantees the safety of the recoverable data.
